ASTRO-COACHING SCHOOL

A 3-month training for aspiring/professional mystics, therapists and healers looking for astrologically informed coaching skills to accelerate their practice or help them gain the confidence to start one. This is also for non-practitioners: artists, activists or astrology lovers seeking a transformative group-coaching journey. Each participant will engage with this curriculum by resourcing their own astrological chart, planet by planet...

This is trauma-informed and somatically based astrology that seeks to offer a solid understanding of how to help a client/chart move through tough times, access more resiliency and open up to their superpowers. 

SEPT 14-DEC 14*

We meet bi-weekly for three months, each with 4.5 hours of live sessions. The first meeting starts SEPT 14, 12:30pm-6pm PT. From there, we meet every other week on Saturdays, 10am-12:00pm and 1:00-3:30pm PT (with a 1 hour break in between from 12:00-1:00pm PT). There will also be a practicum week and six optional community care gatherings. We will be discussing intuitive business tools and ethics for impactful client work as well. SPACE CRAFT ADVANCED TOPICS

For artists wanting to dig deeper into complex astrological concepts through their creative practice. All mediums welcome. The question here is: what kind of art can we make in collaboration with the current movement of the stars via transits, progression and astrological magic? Art as active participation in synchronicity. Art as time magic. Every gathering you get a chart reading and an astro-prompt to explore via your chosen creative medium.

In this intermediate astrology class, we settle into the same intensities as SPACE CRAFT I, cracking open different layers of our charts- but this time through the personal transits and progressions your chart is currently going through. As always, we will clear creative blocks while gaining hands-on astrological wisdom. We will also be making astrological talismans.

SPACE CRAFT: ARTISTS MAKING ASTROLOGY

A gathering of artists, writers, makers and breakers interested in making a body of work based off their birth charts.

This is a way to experience astrology from a sensational, hands-on perspective. This is for those interested in expanding their astrological knowledge beyond books and observation and into the swirl of their creative spirit. This course is not only for your portfolio, but for your soul ~ and the ways in which they inform each other.

This is for artists or non-artists who want to open a creative channel.

In this beginner to intermediate astrology class, we will discuss each other’s charts in tandem with our art practice, clear creative blocks and enhance a more balanced, full sense of ourselves. Every gathering ends with an astro-prompt to explore via our chosen creative medium: video, painting, writing, dance, performance, sculpture ~ We exhibit our artwork to each other at the start of every class ~ ending in a group show.

You will leave with new friends and a radical collection of new work.

Planetary Punch Lines: Art As a Magical Joke

Working with planets and telling jokes have a lot in common, timing and rhythm is everything.

Saturn walks into your 5th house…

Venus crosses Aries to get to your Moon…

Every planetary happening has a setup and a punchline. Like a stellar knock knock joke—we are invited to respond, or as Lauren Berlant says, “a joke is like an i-love-you awaiting reciprocation.”

This presentation considers how the artist/magus can deepen their planetary courtship through the comedic form. It sounds fun, yet as we know some alignments are a tough crowd, some planets use dark humor and sometimes, we are the butt of the joke. Comedy isn’t what we think it is—it depends on tension, failure, often working with what’s wrong in order to lead to a moment of mutual delight.

What kind of astral art is possible when we have the courage to stay open to this awkwardness, to keep everything in play? How might our planetary devotions benefit from the in-and-out of controlness that the grammar of comedy depends on? We will discuss what worlds can be built when we let laughter refine our materials, charge our talismans, when amusement is our co-creative tool.

This workshop is both an astrology class and a roundtable for getting to the meat of your career goals. 

Each week, we will focus on our astrological charts in regard to career, money and audience - and learn techniques in astrology that help define life direction. 

We will deepen our chart reading skills and consider our ambitions in the context of planetary energies for 2023/24.

This is for those who are trying to carve out an ambitious path and seek guidance for clarity, self-confidence, time management or structure.
